1481. In the dark of night, young John is publicly humiliated and dragged through the streets. Accused of witchcraft, he is imprisoned by the Spanish Inquisition.

Later, he undergoes an alchemical transmutation that makes him immortal. However, the potion used during the ritual was tampered with by the priest Ginés de Orduña. As a result, John loses all memory of himself after each resurrection.

In the present day, John and Pauline are searching for an essential artifact to perfectly recreate the ritual. Along the way, they must confront new and dangerous figures eager to steal their secrets...
